Dr. Solange Vargas was awarded PhD from the Universidad de La Serena (University of La Serena) in 2021. Her doctoral dissertation was titled, ‘Underlying factors of the perception of conflict between wildlife and livestock in the North Center of Chile’. At CWS, she was mentored by Dr. Krithi K. Karanth. Dr. Vargas is currently a Research assistant at Iniciativa intercentros Bosque Esclerófilo y Cambio Global (CAPES-IEB-CR2).
