Our goal with Adopt A PHC has been to deliver essential supplies as quickly as possible across all districts, ensuring that the rural sectors, the backbone of our country, can effectively stop the spread of COVID-19.

Goals

Delivering essential equipment to the frontlines to fight COVID-19.

Spreading awareness with respect to COVID-19 healthcare protocols among rural Indian communities.

Empowering collaborations and partnerships across the Western Ghats and helping PHCs upgrade equipment

The second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has left India in deep distress, and rural communities in particular were severely affected. Based on our strong ground presence in rural Karnataka and Goa, we immediately started supplying essential medical equipment such as face shields, PPE kits, oximeters, thermal scanners, gloves, masks and oxygen concentrators to these primary health care centres. Thus, the Adopt-A-PHC campaign was informally started in May and became a full fledged part of our daily operations by June.

Today, we have supplied essential medical equipment to more than 600 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the 3 states. The guiding principle of our effort is to be proactive in the relief work and pioneer a path for other relief work to follow. Currently, our implementation plan is based on the network of frontline primary healthcare workers we have built through our Wild Surakshe Program.
