Dr. McKenzie Johnson was awarded PhD from Duke University in 2017. His doctoral dissertation was titled, ‘Strong Institutions in Weak States: Institution Building, Natural Resource Governance, and Conflict in Ghana and Sierra Leone’. At CWS, she was mentored by Dr. Krithi K. Karanth. Dr. Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
