Dr. G. V. Reddy was awarded PhD from Manipal University in 2011. His doctoral dissertation was titled, ‘Comparative evaluation of management regimes for biodiversity conservation in India: A case study from Nagarahole, Karnataka’. At CWS, he was mentored by Dr. K. Ullas Karanth. Dr. Reddy served as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Rajasthan (PCCF), having served roles as the Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Kota and CCF Wildlife, Bharatpur, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Project Formulations and Coordination) and Chief Wildlife Warden.
