Dr. Devcharan Jathanna was awarded PhD from Manipal University in 2016. His doctoral dissertation was titled, ‘Ecology and conservation of small carnivores in the Western Ghats’. At CWS, he was mentored by Dr. K. Ullas Karanth and Dr. Ajith Kumar. Dr. Jathanna is the Programme Head of Carnivore and Herbivore Ecology and Conservation at Wildlife Conservation Society, India.
