where it matters
In partnership with local, national and international agencies and the governments, CWS has implemented several ‘working models’ of conservation on ground through long term commitments to specific places such as the Western Ghats. We have assisted thousands of families with human-wildlife conflict mitigation and compensation . We have empowered communities and enabled people to re-establish livelihoods following voluntary resettlement by facilitating access to benefits from a multitude of government welfare schemes. This includes assistance with education, healthcare, agriculture, finance, jobs training and alternate livelihoods. Working with individuals and communities is fundamental to building long term tolerance and support for wildlife and wild lands.
